Responsible Dog Ownership Day in a New Jersey park with Akita Rescue information, Dog Information, Canine Good Citizen testing, Akita obedience & agility demonstration, AKC information and more.

Rain or Sunshine - to be held outdoors.
Easy unload and access, no steps or stairs, large parking area.

Free admission ... Free parking ... Bring your own picnic basket food and drink,
water for your dog.
Bring a crate for your Akita so that your Akita can have a safe "time out" while their owners eat, walk, talk and makes merry ... Leashes must be no longer then 6 feet. ... Children must be under parental control.

AGGRESSIVE people or dogs should be left at home. If your person or Akita is too animal agressive / stranger aggressive to behave well while the fun activities and eating are going on, PLEASE leave him/her at home. Bring photographs of your person / Akita to share with others. And do invest the time and effort in training your Akita or Akita person to be nice, in the future.

Overpeck Park is in Leonia, New Jersey.  At Exit 70 where Routes 80 and 95 merge. Five minutes drive from the George Washington bridge.
