Akita Picnic Fun Day with obedience demo, CGC, fun exhibits.

Last year there were over 70 Akitas and their owners, from the USA and Canada.

This is a Sunshine Akita Fun Picnic Day to be held outdoors.
Cancelled if raining - sorry, no raindate. Easy unload and access, no steps or stairs, large parking area.

Akita Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test.

No admission fee ... Free Parking ... Bring your own chairs ... water will be supplied … Please bring a crate or tie-out for your Akita so that your Akita can have a safe "time out" while the owner eats, drinks, wins the raffle and makes merry ... Leashes must be no longer then 6 feet. ... Children must be under parental control.

Akita Fun exhibits; Best dressed Akita ... Best Akita trick ... Biggest Akita ... Smallest adult Akita ... Oldest Akita present ... Youngest Akita ... Akita who has come the farthest ... Akita whose owner has owned the most pet Akitas over the owner's lifetime ... Akita and owner look-a-like ... Look-a-like "twins" or "triplets" found among the Akitas present.

Akita Photo Contest; Bring your Akitas photos for exhibit, categories are;
Akita being / doing something funny
Akita doing something unique / unusual
Akita traveling or at home.

RAFFLE items will be offered (and almost everyone wins at least one turn at the raffle table selections), as well as some very special separate raffle items. Your summer wardrobe and your dog's toy chest can be replenished from the merchandise supplies. Benefits Delaware Valley Akita Rescue.

Help make the Akita Picnic Fun Day a success by contributing the covered dish item next to the first letter of your last name.
A - H ... Please bring a soft drink.
I - P ... Please bring a dessert.
O - Z ... Please bring a salad item.

Hot dogs, hamburgers & veggie burgers will be provided F*R*E*E.

AGGRESSIVE people or dogs should be left at home.
If your person or Akita is too animal aggressive / stranger aggressive to behave well while the fun activities and eating are going on,
PLEASE leave him/her at home. Instead, bring photographs of your person / Akita to share with others. And do invest the time and effort in training your Akita or Akita person to be nice, in the future.

Travel Directions:
From New Jersey. Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 6 - PA. Turnpike.
Take the PA. Turnpike and then follow directions below.
From Pennsylvania. The Northeast Extension of the PA. Turnpike has been renamed/renumbered Interstate 476 (the same as "The Blue Route" which goes from the PA. Turnpike South around Philadelphia) Get onto 476 NORTH from the PA. Turnpike Exit 25A. Get off at the Lansdale Exit #31. Go to light, turn left. At next light turn right. Follow Bustrard Road straight over the little stone bridge (a one car only bridge) to stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign. Fisher's Park entrance on right.
