Cisco SIG - NYLANA.org

Who We Are: The Cisco SIG is a Special Interest Group of the New York LAN Association (NYLANA) user group, a not-for-profit organization established in 1990. Our SIG user group which is dedicated to the open exchange of information in the fields of telecommunications and internetworking. We focus primarily, but not exclusively, to Cisco products. We carry on the vision of providing user-to-user assistance and information related to Cisco's products, current news and information on certification and employment as well as networking with our fellow IT professionals.

Meetings: The CISCO SIG meets once each month from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at various locations. These meetings are open to NYLANA members and potential members.

Preparing for Cisco Certification: The first step to a career in network engineering is Cisco certification. What is the most effective way to prepare for the CCNA 2.0: 640-507 and CCNP 2.0: 640-503, 504, 505, 506 exams? What is the best certification combination to achieve high marketability in today's competitive IT market? Discuss these and other important questions you have regarding Cisco certification and the network engineering at our SIG meetings.
